After a long time, I am here with a small review of this gorgeous lipstick I received from LÓreal Paris. It is from their recently launched star collection and is named as pure Garnet (click for information about the collection). It is aptly associated with Sonam. The lipstick is vampy, seductive and absolutely gorgeous.
Though I am more into nudes and neutrals, I cannot help but give this beauty a try.

The packing is sturdy and classy. It is a black bullet with gold lettering. #Loveit!
Though it looks more of maroon brown in the tube, once swatched, it comes out as a stunning dark wine color. It screams fall but can also be paired suitably to look stunning throughout the year! It unleashes the "diva" in you!
It is insanely pigmented. You can see the pigmentation from the swatches.
The finish is more like velvet matte’s and though it is not drying, like I always say, smooth and moisturized lips will make this look even more stunning. Did not emphasize fine lines and applies evenly.

Formulation is more like a high-end lipstickbut unfortunately the bullet does not seem to be able to put up with hot climates as it gets uprooted quite easily.
Owing to the texture and color, it stays on and on. It stays put for generous 5-6 (approx.) hours and fades slightly after a meal. And did I mention the gorgeous wine colored tint it leaves behind? I had to use a makeup remover to completely remove the color off my lips.
It is priced at INR. 995/- which is definitely on a higher side. But I guess almost all L’Oreal Products are priced in a similar fashion. With this price tag, i'd rather shell out a few hundreds more and get a MAC or other high-end lipstick. But i hear that MAC is again increasing their price so no point in that thought.
The only difficulty i encountered during application is, as the color is quite bold, even the slightest mistake will ruin your day. Using a lip brush is recommended.

I love everything about this lipstick. The texture, finish and staying power are par excellence. However, the color is quite bold and certainly not me.
If you are looking for a good quality berry wine lipstick to flaunt your winter/fall fashion, do check it out. I don’t think there is any drug store lipstick available in a similar color and quality.
Did you know? There is a neutral/nude lipstick collection which is about to be launched by L’Oreal and I am sooo excited about it!
