Hello friends,
We all know that streetwear has revamped their collections. Today I will be reviewing the kajal pencil from their new color rich range.
Price: Rs. 99/- for 2.5 g
Price: Rs. 99/- for 2.5 g
I got it because of the wonderful reviews it garnered across blogosphere and of course for being extremely affordable.
It comes in a typical chubby kohl pencil like packing and smells very much like the traditional eytex kohl paste that comes in a tiny black box. You might have seen it with your childhood days.
I would say that the name “kajal” is quite misleading as it is nothing but a decent kohl paste in a chubby pencil form.
The chubby pencil comes encased in carton sheet packing along with a sharpener but I lost the packing and I believe the sharpener is lying somewhere in my vanity.
The pigmentation is not smoldering black. It feels watery and slides on the waterline just like the traditional home made kohl paste. You need to swipe around 5-6 times in order to get an opaque black line.
Once applied it stays put on my waterline for about 2-3 hours beyond which it starts setting down on the lash line.It is water resistant to an extent but does not survive even mild smudging.
It feels cool when applied on my waterline just like the way how camphor based home made kohl’s feel. It does not irritate or make my eyes water.
I am not able to draw a perfectly defined thin line or flick with this pencil. When used along with an angled brush the pigmentation seems to get even more watery/translucent.
So far I have not faced any panda-eye issues with this one. But if you are someone who is prone to rubbing your eyes then it might be a problem.
What I love about this Kajal is it imparts the effortless kohl look without spreading all over the face like traditional kohl’s.
Those who wear it to work might have to set it with a black eyeshadow to increase its staying power.
Removal is very easy. A wet wipe will d the trick.
It can also be used as a base for dark eyeshadows.
On my Eyes:
I have applied the kajal on lower waterline, lower lashline and upper lashline.

3.5/5
3.5/5
Considering the price, it is a good kajal apt for high school and college going girls. But I don’t think I will repurchase this as I prefer much deeper pigmentation.
Hope you guys found the review useful.
Love,
Raji
