Hello folks!

I have been addicted to lipsticks for a long time. My experiments with lip colors started with the budget friendly brands and slowly shifted to MAC. These days I am in search for that perfect nude lipstick for my skin tone. I found that L’oreal Color Riche lipstick in the shade Nature’s Blush is a nude lipstick that I quite liked for my skin tone. Once it got used up, I wanted to try another brand. Chambor Rouge Plump lipstick 772 was an impulse purchase but I love this shade very much.

Price: Rs. 745 for 2.5g. I am not sure of the shelf life. I bought this in June 2014 and the expiry date is written on the cover as July 2016.

Packaging:

It comes in a navy blue paper carton with silver letters on it. The lipstick holder comes with a square shaped cross section. It looks longer than the usual lipstick holders. What I don’t like about this range is they don’t name the shades, only  numbers are there to identify the shades. Come on, I wouldn’t like it if someone calls me a number rather than my name. I think it is the same with everyone. The holder looks very classy with navy blue color and the chamber emblem is printed on the top of it.

My take on the lipstick:

As I told, I am in love with this shade. It is a peachy brown shade which goes n*de/neutral on my lips. It is an everyday shade on my NC42 skin tone. The pigmentation is really good. It is not a matte shade, but a creamy one which turns opaque on my pigmented lips. The lipstick is very creamy and glides smoothly on my dry lips. It doesn't accentuate the fine lines on my lips or dry them out. Also it doesn't settle into the fine lines. But it transfers a lot though it won’t bleed from my lips. It stays for 3-4 hours if I don’t have any meals in between. It can survive snacks and drinks to some extent. One thing that bothers me is that, since it is too creamy it melts in hot summer and stands a chance for breaking inside the holder.
This lipstick does not have any strong fragrance.

The good part is that it is a shade which I can team with a neutral makeup look as well as with heavy eye makeup too. It is an ideal office wear shade for fair – medium skin tones. I think for darker skin tones it may not be visible.  About the plumping part, I cannot guarantee. What is that 25% plumping claim? How can anyone know whether it is true? I didn’t find any change in my lips after applying this lipstick. The SPF part is another good factor of this lipstick since we need it very badly for the hot Indian summers.

My comments: Wow Nisha. This is indeed a lovely shade. I am definitely picking it up. I love the texture and finish of this. Such semi-glossy n*de’s look extremely flattering.
