Hello friends,
I was looking for a simple no-fuss bb/cc cream apart from my favorite ponds one for the summer and monsoon. I am not using foundation these days. I don’t even care about concealing my pimple marks these days! Imagine how the climate might be.
When I heard that Faces cosmetics have launched a CC cream, I couldn't resist trying it.
It is priced at Rs. 399/- and is available in two shades i.e., natural and sand.
About:
FACES CC Cream brings multiple benefits to give you flawless looking skin in a single step. It primes, perfects and protects to make you look stunning all day.
Ingredients:
The cream comes packed in a neat looking black tube. It is fuss-free and travel friendly.
Due to the loose texture of the cream, one has to be careful while squeezing the product out of the nozzle.
I was matched to the shade natural. When I swatched it, I felt it to be little yellow than my skin tone. But upon blending, it looked quite natural.
The consistency of the cream, unlike the Ponds BB cream, is not very thick. It gets little watery when spread. It reminds me of the Lakme Silk Naturelle foundation.
It has a mild fragrance which is not bothersome.
It made my skin look even toned to an extent. The redness on my cheek and nose were looking less obvious.
It has a sheer coverage which is good for daily use and it does not cover/conceal any blemishes or marks. I prefer a little more coverage for work. I liked the coverage offered by the Ponds BB cream better.
How I use: On weekends or on days when I am really lazy, I just apply this cream on to my skin using my fingers and use Rimmel stay matte pressed powder over it. When used this way, it stays put for about 4-5 hours, after which I am left bare faced with no trace of product left.
For my office, I use it as a base/primer and apply a thin layer of my Bourjois foundation on it and set it with my Bourjois flower perfection translucent powder. When used this way, I find that my foundation stays longer and remains fresh throughout the day. It works better as a base for foundation.
When used alone, it feels light and offers a nice dewy finish to my dry-combination skin. If you prefer a perfectly matte skin, then this is not for you. It did not impress me in keeping my T-Zone oil free. But it is okay as it did not claim to be a mattifier to begin with.
